Greg “2 Mil” Hill

Greg is a super-passionate ski mountaineer. He says, "I live to challenge myself, to dig deeper and always search for happiness. Luckily my happy place seems to be in the mountains, surrounded by untracked powder and followed by friends."

And challenge himself he does....The short list of Greg's accomplishment are as follows; First to climb and ski 50 000 ft in 24 hours, with Jimmy Faust, lots of first descents in NA and SA, pioneered a 21 day traverse through the Monashees in Canada. He's been pushing the standards in backcountry skiing for over 10 years, with speed traverses, fast summits, a million feet in a season, Mt-Blanc in a day, and finally 2 million feet in a year.

Born December 19, 1975 in Sutton, Quebec, he is now firmly rooted in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Greg has reached the summit of nearly 200 mountains and skied off most of them.

He once came out in the Wasatch Range after soloing the Pfeifferhorn and skied around a corner to witness a very fit woman posing topless for a photographer. He says, "I have never been able to remember how good my runs were that day." Takes one to know one we guess, because Greg was selected one of the "25 top fittest guys in the world" by Men's Fitness magazine.

In 2010 Greg Hill set out to find his limits in ski mountaineering. Armed with little more than his essential gear, including a healthy stash of CLIF BAR and CLIF SHOT products, and an occasional crazy partner or two, Greg climbed and skied more than 2 million vertical feet in the calendar year.

Earning each of his turns along his journey, Greg summited 71 peaks in 5 countries. An accomplishment unmatched in the world of top performance climbers and ski mountaineers, this Team CLIF Bar athlete knows what it takes to make dreams become a reality and shares a bit about what motivates him to explore his fullest potential while doing his part to help Protect the Places We Play™.
